Inazumi Underwater stalactite cave located 30 minutes from Mie-machi station by car is one of the largest stalactite caves in Japan. It is said that it was formed over 300 million years ago and it sank underwater because of the Mt. Aso volcano about 90,000 years ago.
You can visit throughout the year as the temperature in the cave remains at 16 degrees. Paving allows easy wheelchair access. You can also see fireflies in Hakusan River in from late May until the middle of June.
